IOGKF Canada Virtual Tournament 2022

NEW! This tournament will have five events, maximum three events per person.

REGISTRATION

1. Complete the online registration (red button to the right).
2. Record the event performance(s).
3. Submit the video(s). Submission instructions will be provided after your registration and payment have been received.

One registration form must be completed for each person. A parent/guardian is required to complete the form for children 17 and under.
Online registration forms, payment, and video upload(s) must be received by IOGKF Canada by Saturday, April 30th.

COST

Registration fee per person is $10 for one event, $5 for each additional event, maximum three events per person. Payment can be made with:

EVENTS

• Beginner Basics – This event is only for competitors who are unable to compete in kata. Competitors registered in Beginner Basics may not compete in any other event. Maximum age: 17.
• Individual Kata – This event is for all ages and ranks. The kata performed must be appropriate to your rank (check with your sensei).
• Family Kata – For 2 or more immediate family members living in the same residence.   Families of 4 or more, can split into two teams, but each family member can only be on one team. Kata may be performed in any formation, but it must be synchronized. The selection of the kata to be performed in Family Kata must be based on the level of the lowest ranked family member.
• Team Kata – Teams of three, any rank, kata performed must be based on the level of the lowest ranked team member. Performed in a Λ formation.
• NEW! Shadow Irikumi – Open to green belts and up, 7 years or older. One individual sparring against an imaginary opponent. Sparring time: 17 and under – 60 seconds; adults – 90 seconds.

Starting May 1^st, over a two-week period the IOGKF Canada black belts will view and judge the various competition divisions assigned to them.

By the end of May, the results for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be assimilated and broadcasted to the IOGKF Canada community.

All participants will receive a participation certificate, the top three place holders will receive a special certificate announcing their category and place.
